Zoop Productions DJ Booking Information
Zoop Productions is a not-for-profit production company based in Rapid
City, SD. The population of the city is about 54,000 people, most of whom
live in Rapid City because it's quiet and small, unlike a bigger city.
What this means is that we are in effect cut off from the open mindedness
and expression that is prevalent in bigger cities. Our mission, if you can
call it that, is to expose any and all of those who are willing to
electronic dance music and the culture that surrounds it. Most us have
been involved at least in someway with the scene in other cities such as
Minneapolis and Denver, where it has been around for a while and we have
seen the ups and downs of our culture. We are striving to show the kids of
this city a scene that is without all of the politics and the attitudes
that seem to be prevalent in the bigger cities, one that is full of
acceptance and good music. The people who come to our parties are very
diverse, but they all have one thing in common; they like to dance!
We are calling out to any DJs out there who are interested in our efforts
to make this scene flourish. Along with building up our own scene we would
like to bring out some DJs who perhaps don't get the recognition they
deserve in their home city, because we know there are a lot of you. We can
offer you travel expenses, a clean place to stay while you are here, and a
chance to expose these kids to the music we all have come to love. Come
on it'll be fun! As for ticket prices, we have always charged very reasonably, aiming to cover the expenses of the party and not aiming for a profit. Any money we come out of the party with is put in full back into the next party. If any of this interests you please feel free to send us an e-mail and/or a demo tape. We aren't looking for big names; we're looking for true talent. So if you're a turntable magician who can move a croud in more ways than one, we want to get you out here and if you can come out on these terms we will be glad to book you for our next event.
