First of all, before I start the review. I have to say THNAK YOU to EVERYONE who came out for our party. Without your support, this could not have gone off. I am still grinning from ear to ear. This party has left me with a tingly feeling deep down inside that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Thank you so much to the CO and MN kids who drove the long hours to come out, it just blows my mind how eager you are to help our scene and support us way out here in SD. Thank you for showing the love and joy to the SD kids that we already show each each other. I do believe that this was the party that will change Rapid City for ever. After rushing around all day to get things set-up, I FINALLY made it out to the venue at 6PM. Everything was set up by 7PM and Willy was just about to lay down some tunes, when the cops showed up. (I will not go into details about the whole show down, but we ended up getting shut-down). DAMN IT. Monthes of planning, hours of driving, days of preparation, 4000 flers, all down the drain (OR NOT) By somethig that I can only describe as a miracle, we got the party packed up, changed the info line, notified the map point, got a new venue and had the party rolling by 11PM!! Thanks so much to everyone who helped. It just goes to show, that with a little love and support we can break threw and obsticle in our way. I still can't believe how we pulled it all together. Even the kids form out- of-town who showed up lafter the party got busted, still found the party and got there on time...UNBELIEVABLE!!! I can't even began to describe the vibe in the air. This was something that I have never experienced in SD before. Mad props to EVERYONE. I would list individual names, but I would just list everyone's name anyway, so if you were there, you deserve mad props. I love you guys and I mean that. Madder pros to all of the DJ's. Tilzs, you rock, you always do. Your style is true and down-with-it. You are just the man to get the party started. Slippy, eveytime I hear you play I love you even more. You were amazing, and very creative with your style, got my groovin for sure. Spiral, never heard the kid before, but I must say I was more than impressed. (and the ONLY DJ from Minn with the ballz to come out, RIGHT ON!!) DMX, damn boy, you rule. The kids at the party were in awe. You had them mesmorized and hypnotized. Everyone in Rapid will be ordering Tech 12's and looking for rekkids before long. I must say that you are an inspiaration. Joey, if everyone doesn't alredy know by now how much I love joey, than you must not know me very well. JOEY is the man. He always has the dopest tracks. He knows how to pick out tunes that will make the kids get on there feet and shake a leg. Ishe, the funkster master. I love you, it's about time you showed your face. We've been waiting your return. Your music makes me hap-ap-ap-eeee. And DAE, you dumb shit playing drum and bass, what's the idea?? JK. I loved it, for reals. By the time you spun, drum and bass was just what my ears needed. You got me dancing again. SWEET set. And again, mad props to the kids who were huggin me, rubbing me and petting me (that's why I wore fur!!) Thanks Jonathan for the back rub, 420DAve for working the door, The girl who gave me the ring (damn i'm terrible with names), Shazad, for the mind-opening conversation, Tanya and Nicole for the artistic skills, James for the banner, Brian M, Shanda and Tony for trecking out from Minneapolis, Raisa (sp?) for the Z's, and all my fellow ZOOPsters who got this together, Jay the master of sound, Karl, the master of getting jiggy, TILZs, the master of not-getting-pushed around, and me SWEETe, BRIANe, I wish you coulda spun, cutie, you WILL spin me my own personal show later on!!! Damn I'm happy. Love, HEATHERe
