Okie, figured that I'd review this party while I'm thinkin about it.. First of all, we got there late thanks to weather complications (i.e. fog, rain and wind, pretty much in that order), so we arrived at 11:30, right when Spree was about to go on. So we filled up the happy face balls and bats and the huge beach ball and tossed them our right when the man was starting up. He brought down his famed Megamix and the crowd loved it, especially when the Neverending Story part came up. The crowd were blowing their newly-received whistles thanks to Tanya and Craig, so they were all happy. I was blowing my whistle from stage and controlling the crowd and helping the Spreester get the wonderful group into their new-found music :) Then I went on and dropped a dubplate called Be On a Star by Wonderland, an old dutch track from 96 or so I found on a CD, and the crowd wasn't done. They seemed to love the happy hardcore overall, and I was very VERY surprised to see a crowd like that in the Midwest, especially South Dakota! I dropped Heart of Gold to close and I had to shut it down before the beat even dropped, and they were begging for it, I couldn't believe it. What a great crowd and a great party. Zoop,. you guys are GREAT hosts. Spree, Tanya and I had a great time. Thanks to the crowd for listening to- and accepting- a new style of music for your area. :) Cloudskipper |
