Wassup... 420 dave here, me n' scott went up to Rapid City SD to check out Topspin friday nite. Great party, friendly vibes, good music... First DJ went on @ 8, don't remember his name, but he threw some pretty kool progressive trance, maybe some progressive house. Several really phat Deepsky records... Danced really hard for his set and the next, don't know who that was either, but it was pretty phat... 10 rolls around, Brian E steps up to the decks. By this point, I'd been driving for 7 hours & then dancing for 2, decided to stretch out on the floor for most of his set. I was quite content to lay there and feel the floor thumpin' under me, but Brian had other plans. He dropped a remix of one of my fav. hard trance tracks (Wormhole '98), I have the original on Tetsuo Trance Corps, both versions are really phat if you like hard trance with madd krazy synth melodies. Then he mixed that perfectly into some really cool acidy trance track I didn't recognize, but it was really kool. Then he proceeded to rock the house w/ X-Cabs Neuro (the original mix). Another of my all time fav.'s, too bad my copy of that got tacoed (can someone pass some kleenex, I think I'm gonna cry). Fast, hard, thumpin bass lines with a really pretty synth line. Tilzs mixed out of Neuro and kept me and my aching legs out on the dance floor with his thumpin' head trippin' trance trax that just ooze 303. Spree was up next at midnite, with some happy hardcore, cuttin' n' scratchin' n' just flat out rockin'. Loved the set, and the tape Tanya gave me :) HH always makes me jump around with a big grin on my face, and Spree just kicks ass behind the tables.Cloudskipper stepped up to the decks at 1 with some more HH and madd krazy kuts, taxin' the speakers and my legs... Good job y'all, it's worth the drive every time... peace.love.unity.respect 420dave |
