Happy happy happy happy happy happy HARDCORE! The Zoop family outdoes themselves once again... Friday was the big day for Topspin in Rapid City, SD. I drove out from Minneapolis with DJ Spree and DJ Cloudskipper. We were supposed to get there around 10 pm but due to some intense fog and wind we were forced to slow WAY down and were greeted by a couple o' panicking Zoopsters around 11:30 (Spree was to go on at midnight). Yikes! Now that's what I call cutting it close. Tilzs was on when we got there and I didn't really have an opportunity to enjoy his set but as usual I'm sure it was hard and rad as hell!! :) Unfortunately, we missed all the other locals (Kine, Willie and Brian e - Brian I swear I'm gonna see you play at a party one of these days). :( I ran all over the place blowing up smiley beach balls and 4 foot inflatable bats, handing out 6 dozen whistles, a tub of smiley lollies and a big ol' box of Smarties. I was amazed by all the kidz at this party! I've never seen such an awesome turnout in Rapid. There must've been 400 people there and a good 85% of them were dancing the entire time! Listening to Spree is always a HUGE treat for me and Friday was no exception. He has so much passion and energy it blows me away! Cloudskipper was next. This was the first time I'd seen him play at a party and he did not disappoint me or the crowd one bit. These guys are so amazing! They really work well together. Everyone went nuts with their whistles and their blow up toys. I've never seen so much dancing and excitement. It was absolutely incredible. Anyway, the decorations were adorable (sorry they were all taken down by the 4 ft beach ball but at least it made for a quick clean up!). :) Every time I go out to SD I'm knocked on my ass by the killer vibe. People were literally begging for more when the party ended!!! It was the most fun ever. I was so glad to see all my Rapid City friends again. It was also great to see Dave Stone again and a pleasure to meet Scott "the too tall raver". Did you hear anything on your jacket, bud? Very cool of you guys to drive up from CO! Thanks so much Zoop Productions for all your hard work in putting this event together. Mad props to all in attendance for making it happen. Spree and Cloudskipper had the time of their lives and are looking forward to playing out there again someday! To all the rest of y'all.. if you missed this party you missed out!!!
